PacBrake manufactures and sells parts for industrial trucks through both their e-commerce site and a network of partners and resellers.
Their inventory is managed in an ERP system where each part exists as an individual item. The complication is that PacBrake also sells many of these parts as bundled packages. This made it difficult to get a clear view of sellable inventory. A single part might be counted individually in the ERP, but also be tied up in multiple packages.
As a result, PacBrake couldn’t easily answer a simple question, such as how many units are actually available to sell.
This became a bigger issue with partners. Resellers needed regular updates on available inventory so they could plan orders and sales. Because of the complexity, PacBrake couldn’t provide reliable daily inventory data, which created friction and uncertainty.
We built a custom portal that connects directly to PacBrake’s ERP system and translates raw inventory data into a sales-ready view.
The portal pulls in all inventory data and applies a layer of custom calculations to account for both individual parts and bundled packages. This gives PacBrake a clear, accurate picture of what can actually be sold.
Partners can access this data in two ways. They can receive automated daily updates, or log into their own account to view live inventory. The portal includes search, filtering, categorisation, and export functionality so partners can easily work with the data.
We also connected the portal to PacBrake’s Shopify store so ecommerce inventory stays aligned with the same logic.
PacBrake now has a single source of truth for inventory that reflects how they actually sell, not just how data is stored in their ERP.
